EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM
The longest telephoto lens by Canon, the EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM is an excellent choice for long-distance shooting whether it’s for outdoor sports, wildlife, news photojournalism, etc. Believe it or not, at just under 10 lbs, this lens weighs lesser than the EF 600mm f/4L IS. It employs a polished optical design, with one UD element, one Super-UD-glass element, and two fluorite lens elements for excellent contrast and sharpness and superb correction of color fringing.
The barrel of the EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM super telephoto lens is constructed with magnesium-alloy to lighten its weight, and features weather-resistant gaskets all over. You can get even more zoom because of its compatibility with both the EF 1.4x II and 2x II tele extenders. EOS cameras with 45 autofocus points will resume providing autofocus at the center AF point when the EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM is used with the 1.4x extender. The lens also features Image Stabilizer to prevent camera shake providing up to 4 stops of correction.
